If you’re looking for something fresh to get into this month, Tuscaloosa is adding a new event to the calendar that’s all about flavor, family, and local vibes.

The City of Tuscaloosa Farmers Market is rolling out its first-ever Strawberry Fest on Tuesday, April 21 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa River Market. And if you’ve ever pulled up to the Saturday market, you already know the energy. This just adds a sweet twist to it.

The event is built around celebrating strawberry season and highlighting local farmers bringing in their harvest. But it’s not just about grabbing fresh fruit. Vendors will be on site with all kinds of strawberry-inspired baked goods and homemade treats, so expect plenty of options to snack your way through the afternoon.

This is one of those pull-up-with-the-family type events too.

There will be free face painting, a mobile petting zoo, and even appearances from a strawberry mascot for the kids. On top of that, live music will keep things moving with Stephanie Woodruff performing from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by Charles Erwin Wilson from 5 to 7 p.m.

And like always, the vendor lineup is deep. From local farms and fresh produce to candles, sweets, coffee, and hot food, there’s going to be something for everybody to check out.

If you’ve been looking for a reason to tap into more of what Tuscaloosa has to offer locally, this is one of those easy wins. Pull up, support local vendors, and enjoy the season.
