If you are like me you can’t believe this Thursday is Thanksgiving. I mean, wasn’t it just March? I don’t even remember the summer.

So, maybe you are slightly panicked because either you are supposed to host Thanksgiving dinner at your house or you are responsible for bringing a Thanksgiving dish.

No worries, I got you because I’m not Martha Stewart either. Luckily this year, I’m only fixing the mac & cheese, my mom’s green bean casserole, and a banana pudding Bundt cake.

They say the traditional Thanksgiving dinner includes turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing or dressing, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, cornbread muffins or rolls, and either pumpkin or sweet potato pie.

Now, that’s what THEY say but as far as my household, we have all of that plus ham, sweet potato casserole, sweet glazed baby carrots, corn casserole, and about 5 different cakes and pies.

First of all, you need to put your orders in now to be able to pick everything up in time for Thanksgiving.

Publix

A great spot to pick up almost the whole meal that is already cooked but requires time to heat up is Publix. They have different options between a turkey or just the turkey breast. Some include dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry relish, and other items.

Archibald & Woodrow’s BBQ

If you need a variety of meats but don’t have time to cook. Check out Archibald & Woodrow’s BBQ. They offer slabs of ribs, whole butt, pork, and more.

I can cosign the beans if you want baked beans for your holiday meal. My family in Florida is STILL talking about the beans they had during their visit.

Blue Plate in Northport

As you know I love the Blue Plate. They have a whole “holiday menu.” They basically have all the sides, like cornbread dressing, dressing, cranberry sauce, tons of veggies, and of course the desserts.

Cracker Barrel

They offer a heat n’ serve feast for different serving sizes with a turkey and there is a ham option too at Cracker Barrel. Sounds easy enough!

I’ve actually ordered the sweet potato casserole and it was excellent. They have every side imaginable too. Don’t feel like making gravy, you can order that too.

Edgar’s Bakery

If you want to have potato salad on the menu, you can’t go wrong with the baked potato salad from Edgar’s Bakery. It’s divine. Also, this is a great place to pick up cakes and cookies too.

If you know of a great place to pick up a full Thanksgiving meal or the various sides, please let me know. You can email me at maryk@townsquaremedia.com I would love to be able to highlight the business.
