The Townsquare Media Weather Center is continuing to monitor developing conditions that support strong-to-severe storms in our West Alabama coverage area, which consists of Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, and Walker counties.

Timeline

The timing is from “Wednesday evening, starting around 6 p.m., through Thursday at 2 a.m.,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.

Risk Levels

Now the Storm Prediction Center has upgraded the tornado potential for the mid-week severe weather threat. This is a level 3 out of 5, also known as an “Enhanced Risk,” while some areas are in the slight and marginal-risk zones.

Perry: Mostly Enhanced Risk with the southern portion under Slight Risk
