The American Farmland Trust has revealed the winners of the 16th annual America’s Farmers Market Celebration, a national event held from June 1 to July 31, 2024. This celebration honors the crucial role of farmers' markets and acknowledges the top markets across five regions nationwide and all 50 states.

The City of Tuscaloosa Farmers Market has clinched the title of Best Farmers Market in Alabama for 2024 in the America’s Farmers Market Celebration Awards.

This marks the third consecutive year the market has garnered the majority of votes, securing its top position in the state.

“The River Market staff works hard to cultivate a thriving market for the citizens of Tuscaloosa with a focus on shopping local and supporting local farms," said Alexis Clark, Tuscaloosa River Market Operations Manager.

Admission is free and open to the public for the City of Tuscaloosa Farmers Market, which operates every Saturday year-round from 7 a.m. to noon at the Tuscaloosa River Market, situated at 1900 Jack Warner Parkway.
