January Alabama Restaurant Report On Closings, Violations
FIRST 2025 UPDATE ON RESTAURANTS FAILING OR HAVING VIOLATIONS DURING HEALTH INSPECTION
Roughly, every 60-90 days this report is released for restaurants and lodging establishments, mainly, and a few made the report for being closed because of a "roach infestation" or a "rodent infestation" according to the Alabama Department of Public Health. This is a look at the most recent report from now through the last 60 days.

Again, this list covers West Alabama and other cities across the state that you might live in or travel to in the state of Alabama.
As the writer, I'm a frequent customer of several restaurants on this list for "infestation", but I must put personal bias aside and report the information as is.
Technically, the violation for roaches also covers rodents in most violation reports.
OK, PLEASE NOTE, NOT ALL OF THE PLACES OF BUSINESS ON THIS LIST HAD ROACHES. SOME WERE CITED FOR OTHER REASONS. PLEASE READ THE LISTS CAREFULLY. ROACH INFESTATIONS ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN RED, AGAIN, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
One positive for the restaurant industry of West Alabama is that we don't see a ton of local places making the naughty list in the most recent report.
We will also point out some places that had great scores in this most recent report.
On that note, I also find it fairly disturbing when an establishment has a score "so low" that it must be closed. I guess that means every single thing was a major failure.
All info comes from the Alabama Department Of Public Health food establishment closings report.
