Relief is on the way, but until then, there is “one more day with a Heat Advisory for most of the area; then, some drier air will move in tomorrow, which will bring heat indices back down for several days,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.

Rain Chances for Today
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa's Chief Meteorologist said, “The remnant circulation of Beryl will pass well to the north of Alabama today, but it will help to pull some deeper tropical moisture into the state, helping in the production of scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms.”
The National Weather Service in Birmingham said, "Some storms this afternoon should also help to cool things off.”
There is up to a 70 percent chance of rain at any given location today, and heavy storms, similar to yesterday, are expected to generate substantial rainfall.
