Pickleball fever is sweeping across Alabama, and if you’re one of the many players who can’t resist a good rally, you won’t want to miss the Alabama Sports Festival (ASF) Foundation’s festive tournament, Dinklebells 3. Open to athletes from all corners of the state, it’s the perfect chance to serve up some holiday-season competition.

According to the press release, the “festive and fun pickleball tournament, Dinklebells 3, " is set for December 13-14, 2025, at the 17 Springs Sports Complex in Millbrook. The registration fee is $50 (through December 1) and can be found at ALAGAMES.com.” In addition, the tournament will feature Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.

“We landed on a pickleball tournament as our second off-season fundraiser based on the growth we’ve seen in the number of people playing pickleball in the Alabama State Games,” said Laura Creel Burt, ASF Foundation Executive Director and CEO.

Local businesses throughout the River Region have stepped up in a big way, contributing gift cards and prizes that will be awarded to medalists and given away as festive door prizes during the tournament.

Burt said, “Going into its third year, Dinklebells has become more than just a weekend event for our team; it’s a true reflection and celebration of what the ASF Foundation is about: using sport as a vehicle to stay healthy, have fun, and better connect with your community.”
