Former Alabama Quarterback Ty Simpson Taking One Final Top 30 Visit Before NFL Draft
Wednesday is the final day for NFL draft prospects to take top 30 visits, and former Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson will make one final visit prior to next week's NFL draft.

According to Field Yates, Ty Simpson is in Glendale, Arizona, for a top-30 visit with the Arizona Cardinals, who need a new starting quarterback after cutting veteran Kyler Murray at the start of the league year.
Murray was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft out of Oklahoma, and spent seven seasons with the Cardinals before he was cut at the start of the 2026 league year in March. In seven seasons with Arizona, Murray completed 67.1% of his passes for 20,460 yards and 121 touchdowns, adding 3,193 yards and 32 scores on the ground. Injuries limited Murray late in his career, leading to his release by the Cardinals. Murray signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings.
Simpson completed 64.5% of his passes during his lone season as Alabama's starting quarterback, passing for 3,567 yards and 28 touchdowns to five interceptions in 15 games started for the Crimson Tide. He also added 93 yards and two touchdowns rushing.
NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah ranks Simpson as the 38th overall prospect in next week's NFL draft, and the second-best quarterback after Indiana's Fernando Mendoza. Simpson met with multiple teams at the NFL combine, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New York Jets, and the Cardinals. Simpson's most likely landing spots appear to be the Jets or the Cardinals, with the Jets taking an extended look at the Crimson Tide's signal caller, with several members of the Jets' brass at his Pro Day, and a private workout with head coach Aaron Glenn, offensive coordinator Frank Reich, and quarterbacks' coach Bill Musgrave shortly after Pro Day.
The Cardinals hold two top-50 picks in the draft: No. 3 overall and No. 34 overall.
Simpson also recorded top-30 visits with the Jets, the Cleveland Browns, and the Miami Dolphins.
