Former Crimson Tide Defensive Lineman Quinnen Williams Signs Extension with Dallas

Former Crimson Tide defensive standout Quinnen Williams signed a massive three-year $105.9 million extension with the Dallas Cowboys on Monday afternoon, making it the largest third contract ever for a defensive lineman. Williams was the Tide from the 2016 season through the 2018 season.

In his career with Alabama, Williams tallied 26.5 tackles for loss, X total tackles, and 10 sacks. Williams was also named a Unanimous All-American, an All-SEC First Team selection, bringing home the Outland Trophy. Williams declared for the 2019 NFL Draft, where he was selected third overall in round one by the New York Jets. Williams played with the Jets for five seasons before being traded to Dallas halfway through the 2025 season.

In his rookie season, Williams recorded 28 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble. Over his career with New York, Williams tallied 40 sacks,199 tackles, including 59 for a loss. Williams was dealt to the Cowboys in a midseason trade that included a trade package of a 2027 first-round pick, 2026 second-round pick, and DT Mazi Smith. Williams is set to begin his 8th season in the NFL.
