Nick Saban Picking Against Alabama

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban is making the rounds at SEC Media Days, and the tradition is for the SEC Network crew to make their picks for the SEC Championship during media days.

This year, media days are in Dallas, Texas to welcome Oklahoma and Texas into the conference. Nick Saban has already made some stark claims about the new members, claiming Texas "is not going to run the SEC."

Despite the thought that Texas won't run the SEC, Coach Saban seems to be pretty high on the Longhorns in their first year in the conference. Nick Saban did not pick Alabama to make the SEC Championship, but rather, thinks the SEC Championship game will be between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Texas Longhorns.

Former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy picked Texas and Alabama to make the SEC Championship.

Saban went on to say that he still believes in Jalen Milroe and Alabama, but until the issues in the secondary are resolved, he can not "jump on the bandwagon" for the Crimson Tide.

Nick Saban previously talked about picking against Alabama when the time came for him to join the College Gameday crew when making picks. His answer was previously determined to sound like he would pick in favor of Alabama, saying "I don't know that you always have to pick the team you think is going to win. You are allowed to have a spiritual feeling about who you like and who you want to win. So, I think it will be a lot of fun, though."
