Lebron Named Golden Spikes Semifinalist

The Crimson Tide's superstar sophomore, Justin Lebron, is among the 25 semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award, presented annually to the best amateur player in baseball.

Lebron is one of eight SEC players who were named semifinalists. The full list can be found here.

Lebron has taken his game to an even higher level this season than his freshman campaign in 2024. He's a five-tool player and electrifying both at bat and on the field. He's started all 55 games for Alabama this season, batting .313 with 17 doubles, one triple, and 18 home runs. He's also tallied 69 RBI and 58 runs scored. He's also been walked 31 times.

Lebron's 69 RBIs are the most in the SEC and top 15 in college baseball. He's produced 17 games with multiple RBI, and has had five RBI in a game five times.

His 18 home runs are the fifth-most in the SEC and 32nd among Division I players. His 141 bases are fifth in the SEC and 52nd nationally. He leads the Crimson Tide in stolen bases, with 16 steals on 17 attempts. It's good for eighth best in the SEC.

Lebron and the Crimson Tide will return to action on Tuesday, May 20, at 9:30 a.m. CT in the SEC Tournament. The Crimson Tide will take on the Missouri Tigers as Alabama works to cement a hosting bid for the NCAA Baseball Tournament.
