Bama Baseball Heading to Hoover
Alabama Baseball went through its fair share of turmoil during the transition from Brad Bohanon to interim head coach Jason Jackson to new coach Rob Vaughn. Between the scandal with Bohanon and the transfers leaving the program, Vaughn had his work cut out for him this season.
Despite the turmoil during the transition and the injury concerns during the season, Vaughn has Alabama in the SEC baseball tournament in his first year as the Tide's head coach. The SEC is the toughest conference in the country, boasting the last four national champions and eight champions since the 2010 College World Series. It will only get more difficult once Texas and Oklahoma join the SEC in July of this year.
Vaughn and the Crimson Tide finished the regular season 33-21 overall with a 13-17 record in conference play. That record notched Alabama as the No. 7 overall seed in the tournament. Play starts for Alabama on Tuesday, as the Crimson Tide are marked as the home team against the South Carolina Gamecocks, who are the No. 10 overall seed in the tournament.

If the Tide topples the Gamecocks in Tuesday's single elimination game, they will move on to face No. 2 overall seed Arkansas in a double elimination on Wednesday.
