Alabama Redshirt Freshman Cornerback Enters the Transfer Portal
As the Alabama Crimson Tide football team prepares for its annual A-Day Game on Saturday, the program sees its third player enter the transfer portal.
According to Matt Zenitz of On3Sports, Alabama redshirt freshman cornerback Tre'Quon Fegans has opted to enter the transfer portal. Fegans follows fellow cornerback Jahquez Robinson and tight end Elijah Brown into the portal before the conclusion of spring practice.
Fegans was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2022 out of powerhouse Thompson High School. He didn't appear in any games during the 2022 season and redshirtted.
The 6-foof-2 corner originally committed to the University of Miami before flipping and choosing to come to Tuscaloosa in October of 2021.
He enters the transfer portal with four years of eligibility remaining, interestingly enough, his younger brother Anquon Fegans is considered a 5-star prospect at safety in the class of 2025.
The Tide will now rely on Kool-Aid McKinstry, Terrion Arnold, Antonio Kite, Earl Little Jr. and Jahlil Hurley as its cornerbacks for the 2023 season, unless Nick Saban opts to address the position in the transfer portal at the conclusion of spring practice.
The Tide holds its annual A-Day game on Saturday, April 22 at 2 p.m. in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
