Alabama Players React to Nick the Naysayer

When former Alabama head coach Nick Saban picked against the Crimson Tide on Monday for the SEC Championship, the college football world immediately reacted to Saban's comments. Players across the SEC saw it, including the coalition of Crimson Tide players who attended SEC Media Days.

Nick the Naysayer sparked the conversation at SEC Media Days with his comments. His former players Tyler Booker and Malachi Moore had some comments on Coach Saban's prediction.

Tyler Booker is a familiar face to the media, as he was a prominent voice among the Alabama players last season, and he looks to be the same this season in what is likely his final season as a member of the Crimson Tide. Booker is projected in early mock drafts as a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Booker saw Saban's comments and had a humorous reaction, "He always said don't let some guy who lives in his mom's basement determine how you feel. I'm not going to let a guy who plays golf all day determine how I feel."

He clarified to Chris Hummer, who asked the question, that he was joking with those comments.

Malachi Moore also cracked a smile when asked about Coach Saban's comments.

"Gotta love Coach Saban man," Moore said. "It's a cool opinion for him to have. We're just gonna take it one day at a time and keep on working."

Nick Saban - coach turned naysayer. According to last season, Alabama is going to have to let him know.
