The Alabama softball team has its opponent for its elimination game in the 2023 Women's College World Series.

Team 27 will take on Stanford on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 6 p.m. CT. The winner stays in Oklahoma City and will play again on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 2 p.m. CT.  The loser goes home.

Stanford is a familiar foe to the Crimson Tide as the team ended Alabama's season last year in the Tuscaloosa Regional.

The Oklahoma Sooners defeated the Stanford Cardinals 2-0 on Thursday afternoon. Oklahoma will take on Tennessee in the winner's bracket on Saturday, June 3 at 2 p.m. CT.

The Cardinals went 45-13 overall this season, including 14-10 in conference play. They are 4-0 in SEC play this season, defeating Georgia twice in the regular season and Florida twice in the Stanford Regional.
