SEC Reveals Alabama’s Future Conference Opponents
The SEC has moved to a nine-game conference schedule for the foreseeable future, starting with the 2026 college football season. With the introduction of a nine-game conference schedule, the SEC has also introduced three annual rivalries for each team, with Alabama drawing the Auburn Tigers, the Tennessee Volunteers, and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

The SEC will now implement a new schedule, where schools will play in every stadium in the conference within a four-year window, so no more 10-year windows between teams playing at other stadiums (Alabama has not played in Athens, Georgia, since 2015, Georgia has still yet to play a game at Kyle Field, home of the Texas A&M Aggies. Texas A&M has been in the conference since 2012.)
Alabama's opponents have now been revealed, giving the Crimson Tide a rotation of the other 15 schools in the SEC. Here are Alabama's 2026 and 2027 conference opponents:
2026 Conference Opponents
Home: Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas A&M
Away: Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
2027 Conference Opponents
Home: Florida, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas
Away: Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Oklahoma
With the announcement, the SEC also revealed that the 2028 SEC opponents would be the same as 2026, with locations flipped. The same will happen in 2029 with the 2027 opponents.

Away: Georgia, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M
2029 Conference Opponents
Home: Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Tennessee
