The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball program has won the 2023 SEC Tournament after avenging last Saturday's loss to Texas A&M by winning 82-63 in the Sunday final. Alabama claims both the regular season and tournament title in the same year for the second time in three seasons.

Alabama utilized strong shooting throughout the contest, but particularly in the second half to cruise to a 19-point victory. The Tide was impressive even after missing shots, pulling down 21 offensive rebounds, creating  14 second-chance points.

Starters Brandon Miller, Jahvon Quinerly and Charles Bediako were once again the offensive catalysts for the Crimson Tide.

The freshman scored 23 points, despite poor shooting from the floor (5-of-20). Miller got to the line throughout the contest, making 9-of-10 from the free-throw line, and contributed on the glass with 12 rebounds.

The senior scored 22 points and was dialed in from deep converting on 4-of-8 from behind the 3-point line. He also brought in three rebounds and created three assists to keep the pedal down for the Alabama offense.

The seven-foot sophomore was a difference maker at the rim on offense and defense with a double-double for the Tide scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds to go along with five blocks.

The Crimson Tide dominated the SEC Tournament awards voting as Miller deservingly was named the SEC Tournament MVP. He, along with Bediako and Quinerly were named to the SEC All-Tournament Team.

Alabama now awaits the official Selection Sunday announcement of the NCAA Tournament bracket. By virtue of winning the SEC Tournament the Crimson Tide is now among the automatic qualifiers for the tournament. Thanks to a 29-5 record and the double-SEC championship Alabama is expected to draw the No. 1 overall seed and play its opening round game in Birmingham on Thursday, March 16.
