The 6-foot guard from Huntsville, Alabama, transferred from Illinois and quickly established herself as one of the top players in the program's history.

In her inaugural season with the Crimson Tide (2022-23), Nye finished second in the Southeastern Conference for 3-point shooting, boasting a 45.1% accuracy on 164 attempts. She ranked seventh nationally for 3-point percentage, scored in double figures in eight of the last nine games, hitting at least three 3-pointers in six of those contests, and made five or more 3-pointers in five different games.

Nye's success continued into the 2023-24 season, where she set a new program record for 3-pointers made in a single season with 108, tying for the second-most in SEC history. She led the conference in 3-pointers and ranked third in the nation, surpassed 1,000 career points during a victory at Georgia on Jan. 11, and achieved a career-high of 28 points (9-17 FG, 8-13 3FG) in a win against Mississippi State on Feb. 25. Nye also tied the program record for 3-pointers in a single game with her eight against the Bulldogs, reached double figures in 26 games, including four with over 20 points, and finished the non-conference schedule with ten or more points in eight consecutive games. In SEC play, she scored at least 15 points in six straight games.

In her final season with the Crimson Tide, Nye established an impressive legacy, solidifying her status as a legend at the Capstone. She earned the title of SEC Player of the Week on Dec. 31, 2024, led the team in scoring for 10 games, and recorded double-digit points in 26 out of 32 matchups. Nye made seven or more 3-pointers in four games and became Alabama's all-time leader in 3-pointers during a comeback victory against Auburn on Feb. 23. She was one of four players from Alabama to average over 15 points per game, surpassed 1,500 career points during a win at Ole Miss on Jan. 12, where she also achieved a personal best of 32 points. Additionally, she set a single-game record for Alabama with nine 3-pointers made against Florida on Feb. 6. Her most significant accomplishment was becoming the program's all-time leader in career 3-pointers and setting a new single-season record with 109 3-pointers, surpassing her previous mark of 108.

Now, she aims to transition her skills to the professional level. The WNBA Draft is scheduled for Monday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. ET at The Shed at Hudson Yards in New York City.

Nye's remarkable shooting prowess and record-setting performances have made her a prominent candidate in the umping draft, where she is currently viewed as a second-round pick.
