Jaren Hamilton, a composite 4-star wide receiver, signed with the Crimson Tide Wednesday. According to 247Sports, Hamilton is the 39th ranked wide receiver in the 2023 recruiting class and is the 52nd best player out of Florida.

Hamilton received offers from Florida and Ole Miss along with several other schools but ultimately committed to Alabama in November after his official visit to Tuscaloosa.

Hamilton played at P.K. Yonge High School in Gainsville, Fla. for three years before transferring to F.W. Buchholz High School, also in Gainsville, for his senior year.  As a junior at P.K. Yonge, he had 30 catches for 671 yards and 10 touchdowns in 11 games. His Senior year at F.W. Buchholz, he had 38 catches for 847 yards and 14 touchdowns with a kickoff return touchdown.

Hamilton stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 188 and can provide a lot of speed to the Alabama offense. He ran track in high school and has a 4.3 40-yard dash. According to 247Sports's Gabe Brooks, Hamilton's "speed translates to the field with vertical stretching ability and run-after-catch juice."

In an article Hamilton wrote for USA Today announcing his commitment, he stated he chose Alabama because, "my comfort level with the coaches, their play style, everything with the school when I went there on my visit. It didn't feel like foreign territory. It felt like home."

Hamilton joins other Alabama wide receiver commits, Jalen Hale, Malik Benson, and Cole Adams.
