Everything You Need to Know About Northport from A-Z. Well, almost. I need some help with just a few of the letters, J, Q, U, and X.
A – Ace Hardware, the staff is super nice, friendly, and helpful.
B – Billy’s Sports Grill, one word, WINGS!
C – City Café, meat and three in the heart of downtown Northport.
D – Dreamland BBQ, yes, there is a Northport location. Ribs and white bread! Yum.
E – El Gran Patron Mexican Grill, the hot and spicy burrito, is incredible.
F – (Northport) Fish and Things, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The fried whiting is a favorite.
G – (Mr.) G’s, I love to order the half & half, which is one beef cannelloni & one cheese manicotti topped with mozzarella cheese with meat sauce.
H – Home Accents, a super cute spot for home décor. My go-to place for Christmas decorations.
I – Ingram Farms, love everything about this place. Need an ice cream fix; this is the place to go.
J -
K – Kentuck Art Center, it’s a great place to take selfies. You will see lots of unique outdoor art.
L - Lake Lurleen State Park
M – Mary’s Cakes and Pastries, absolutely delicious. Their decorated cookies are a sight to see. Plus, they are a licensed vendor of the University of Alabama for themed sweets.
N - Northport 5 & 10, you can always run across an exciting find.
O - Ol’ Colony Golf Complex, a great location for golfing on a beautiful day. (Technically, in Tuscaloosa, but a hop skip and jump from Northport.
P – Pearl Garden, the egg rolls get a chef's kiss!
Q -
R – Riverwalk, the Northport Riverwalk, is an excellent area to get your steps in.
S – Sue’s Flowers Northport, family-owned and operated.
T – The Blue Plate, Good southern home cooking at its best. My go-to meal is the Pecan Smoked Chicken.
U –
V - Van De Graaff Park and Arboretum, this is my favorite spot in Northport. It is a very relaxing area. You can find me there on Sunday afternoons having lunch.
W – West Alabama Food Bank aims to help alleviate hunger and food insecurity in nine West Alabama counties, including Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa.
X -
Y – Your CBD, there to help others through the use of natural, hemp-derived products.
Z – Zaxby’s, again, there is a fascination with this spot, which includes me.
