United Purposes, Incorporated, the Girl Scout Troop 408, Green County Human Rights Commission, and the Greene County Community are hosting a Color Run and Walk. They hope to bring the community together to raise cancer awareness.

According to the Greene County Independent, Inc. Facebook post, this larger-than-life outdoor party will occur on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Registration is at 9:30 a.m., the event kicks off at 10 a.m., and the location is to be announced. This fun day will be “equipped with music, dancing, photo opportunities, and a massive color throw.”

I’ve had several friends participate in color runs. They even dressed up in a group theme. The pictures looked like they had so much fun while championing their favorite causes. You can run, jog, or walk at this color run.

The best part is that this color run and walk is untimed. This means you can go at your own pace. Another fun part is that “during the evening, participants will be dusted with color at various stations during the walk-run.” Also, there is a Finish Festival at the end of the event too.

The Community Color Run and Walk registration is $35, and there are various sponsorship levels. Click here to find out more on the Greene County Independent, Inc.
