Avengers Assemble for ‘Infinity War’ Super Bowl Spot
You didn’t think Marvel would sit out the Super Bowl, did you? Just when we thought we were aware of all the major trailers and sneak peeks premiering during tonight’s big game, Marvel took to Twitter to tease a special preview of Infinity War…and it didn’t disappoint.
Though it was just 30 seconds long, it was a pretty thrilling 30 seconds, all things considered — and there are plenty of things to consider in Marvel’s biggest, most hero-packed Avengers sequel yet, but the most notable is, of course, Thanos. The Mad Titan has finally gotten his lazy butt out of that giant purple space chair to take matters into his own giant hands, and it won’t be pretty. (Except for Cap’s new beard, which is definitely pretty.)
An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their super hero allies must be willing to sacrifice it all in an attempt to defeat the power of Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.
Infinity War features all your Marvel faves, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, Mark Ruffalo, and…yeah, OK, pretty much all but 10 characters from the MCU. The next chapter in the Avengers saga hits theaters on May 4.
