2017 CMA Awards Bring Out the Best in Country Music [Pictures]
The CMA Awards are always a special night for country music, and the 2017 event was no exception. From the amazing performances to the heartfelt tributes, the 2017 CMA Awards brought out the best in all of country music, and we have the pictures to prove it.
The stellar opening number brought Darius Rucker, Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Little Big Town and so many more stars together for an incredible rendition of Hootie and the Blowfish's "Hold My Hand." Carrie Underwood brought the Bridgestone Arena to a standstill with her powerful in memoriam performance of "Softly and Tenderly," honoring the lives we've lost in 2017, including all the victims of the Las Vegas tragedy. Eddie Montgomery surprised the crowd when he joined Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts on stage to sing "My Town," paying tribute to his late partner, Troy Gentry, in his first public performance since Gentry's death.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill not only offered a poignant performance of "The Rest of Our Life," but they also had a little fun with Underwood and her co-host Brad Paisley during the duo's opening monologue.
