One of the year's coolest fundraisers is going down at Heat Pizza Bar Thursday, May 25th--it's the United Way of West Alabama Young Leaders Society's Pizza Eating Contest!

The contest is going to be so much fun to watch--you get to see people try to eat pizza without using their hands; it's a race against the clock and against one another. Take a look at the official rules:

  • NO touching the pizza for any reason until after the first minute has expired. (This means to no folding it, tearing it, etc. before that time.)
  • Contestants may not use their hands to eat the pizza until they hear you yell Hands.
  • At that time, they can eat the pizza any way they like.
  • The first person to eat their whole pizza, crust and all – WINS.
  • To show you are done, you must raise your tray in the air.

These awesome West Alabama residents have agreed to participate in the annual contest. They're raising money for United Way partner agencies. If you see them out and about, make sure to give them high-fives!
