The US National Weather Service in Birmingham forecasts a chance for severe storms late Saturday night and early Sunday morning in northwest Alabama. Tuscaloosa, Pickens, Lamar, Marion, and Walker Counties are in a slight risk area where damaging winds of up to 60 miles an hour are possible along with a chance for tornadoes.
