Phil Savage is stepping down as the color analyst for Alabama football.  After 9 years Savage is leaving to focus on his new job as General Manager of the Phoenix franchise in the new Alliance of American Football league,

Savage spent 9 years as color analyst on the radio broadcasts with Eli Gold, after replacing Kenny Stabler.  Before that he was general manager for the Cleveland Browns. He has also been executive director of the Senior Bowl before leaving that position in May.  There's no word on who his successor will be on the Crimson Tide broadcasts this fall.
