When you hear the name Patrick Stewart, Star TrekX-Men or Shakespeare may come to mind -- but probably not country music. However, Stewart -- er, "Cowboy Pat" -- is trying his hand at some of the genre's classic tunes.

On Monday (July 4), Stewart tweeted out a link to the above YouTube video, saying, "Happy 4th 'merica, yer a mighty fine country. Luv, Cowboy Pat." The clip, which is filmed to look like an infomercial, features Stewart dressed head to toe in cowboy apparel -- a cowboy hat, chaps, blue jeans, a red bandanna, rhinestones ... you name it, he's wearing it -- and singing traditional cowboy songs such as "Buttons and Bows" and "Rawhide," in his familiar British accent.

According to the video, Stewart has recorded Cowboy Classics Volume 1 and 2, a collection of 27 hits such as "Red River Valley," "El Paso," "Home on the Range" and "Ghost Riders in the Sky." And those interested in ordering the record may also score themselves copies of Duets Out WestSongs for Lonesome Lovers and Cowboy Pat's Christmas on the Range.

But don't get too excited just yet: Fans who visit PStewSings.com to snatch up their copies of the project will discover that Cowboy Classics Volume 1 and 2 are sold out on vinyl, CD and cassette. However, the Cowboy Classics Sampler, which features "Buttons and Bows," "Don't Fence Me In," "Ringo," "I'm an Old Cowhand" and "Here Comes Santa Claus," is available for purchase. All proceeds from the disc will go to the International Rescue Committee, which provides relief to those who affected by war, disaster and conflict across the globe.

In addition to crafting a joke country album for charity, Stewart is also busy on the set of The Wolverine 3.
