Moundville Murder Suspect Has Died

Horror struck the City of Moundville early Thursday morning when it learned of the double homicide of two of their residents and an attempted suicide of their suspected killer. 

According to authorities, Brad Gray may have shot and killed Paige Mitchell and her 14-year-old daughter on Wednesday night of last week. When the bodies were discovered on Thursday morning, police went to Gray's residence to question him, he shot himself.

Gray was transported to the hospital where he remained in critical condition until he died Sunday evening.

In 2015, Mitchell accused Gray of threatening to kill her. Gray was subsequently convicted of the charge but received a suspended sentence.

Services for Paige Mitchell & daughter Kaci are being held at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home today at 3pm. Family members are asking that the public make donations to Turning Point, a domestic violence and sexual assault service agency in their honor.
