There's nothing quite like celebrating your birthday with a big old party -- and if you're Loretta Lynn, that means two shows at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.

In April, Lynn will celebrate her 85th birthday by playing two back-to-back nights at the Ryman. The first show is set to take place on the country icon's birthday itself (April 14), with the second concert set for the following evening (April 15). Tickets for the shows go on sale on Friday (Jan. 6); more information is available at Ryman.com.

The Ryman Auditorium should be a comfortable spot for Lynn to celebrate her special day: She made her first Grand Ole Opry appearance at the historic venue more than 50 years ago, in October of 1960; two years later, on Sept. 25, 1962, Lynn became an official Opry member.

“When I went out to sing, I remember patting my foot, and that’s it,” Lynn recalls of her Opry debut. “I don’t remember even singing."

Despite having to cancel some concerts due to a fall she sustained this past September, Lynn kept busy in 2016: She released Full Circle, her first album in 12 years, which earned her a career-high chart debut; the record is available on Amazon and iTunes.
