The West Alabama Food and Wine Festival will host its 5th Annual event on Thursday, April 27th at Tuscaloosa River Market to benefit West Alabama Red Cross.

The festival features small plates by 16 popular restaurants, including the highly anticipated Central Mesa created by the same owners as The Avenue Pub. A variety of wines and two local breweries will also be serving samples.

Participating vendors include 301 Bistro, animal butter, Central Mesa, Chuy’s, Crimson Catering, DePalma’s, Evangeline’s, Jim ‘N Nicks, Local Roots, Mary’s Cakes, Nothing But Noodles, River, Side by Side, Southern Ale House, Taziki’s, The Avenue Pub, Urban Cookhouse, Black Warrior Brewing, Druid City Brewing, Alabama Crown & United Johnson Brothers.

Guests can sample the highlighted eats from each restaurant. All guests receive a limited edition commemorative wine class to keep. This year, a VIP level has been added as an option to guarantee the guest a seat at a table throughout the festival.

Last year’s festival brought in a sold out crowd with 400 guests, 20 vendors and raised more than $11,000 for the West Alabama Red Cross.

Committee Chair & Director of DHR in Pickens County Misty Creel said,

Participation from guests and vendors continues to increase each year. We are fortunate to live in a community where vendors really go all out to make the event fabulous for our guests and the community returns the favor by supporting the event and continuing to patronize the participating establishments.

Tickets are $50 for general admission & $75 for VIP admission. Tickets and updates can be found by clicking here.
