Tuscaloosa Police have recovered a body from the Sipsey River believed to be a Gordo man missing since Saturday.  Police say the family has identified Josh Cooley, 36, who was last seen Saturday.

According to the Tuscaloosa News his vehicle was found abandoned by a boat launch on Upper Columbus Road Sunday with his personal items still inside.

Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies used a helicopter to locate Cooley’s body about a quarter mile downstream from Upper Columbus Road. There are no signs of foul play, he said, but an autopsy will be conducted.

Don Hartley will have more details coming up on 95.3 The Bear.
