President Trump this week announced plans to impose a 25% tariff on steel Imports and a 10% tariff on aluminum imports.   Some analysts say prices from goods made from steel and aluminum, like cars and beer and soda, could get more expensive as a result.

The proposed tariffs are tied to the President's campaign promise to create good-paying jobs in the United States, particularly in factories, by getting tough on trade. He argues that American factory workers have been treated unfairly by trade deals, and many workers agree.

Others argue that tariffs and quotas or both could also start a trade war with China.

The good news?  Bottled bottled beer prices most likely would be unaffected.
