Alan Jackson is taking it to the street to show his support for the Nashville Predators.

The country superstar will perform a free outdoor concert in downtown Nashville on Saturday (June 3) as part of the Broadway Smash: Preds Party With a Purpose event ahead of Game 3 of the 2017 Stanley Cup final. The game at the Bridgestone Arena will be the Predators' first home game of the series.

Jackson is set to take the stage at 4:45PM at Fifth Avenue and Broadway, facing the Cumberland River, Nashville's WKRN reports.

"This is an exciting time for the Predators and the city of Nashville," he says. "As a fan, I’m proud to be included in their road to the Stanley Cup."

Jackson showed his Predators spirit at his concert in Nashville on May 19 when he left the stage and returned wearing a Preds jersey.

Broadway will be closed between Fifth and Third avenues for Jackson's performance on Saturday, and the stage and surrounding areas will feature multiple large screens for fans who can't get close to the stage.

The free concert event is part of a series of events to celebrate the Predators games on June 3 and June 5.

“Nashville knows how to celebrate world-class sports with world-class music and the world’s best hockey fans,” Nashville Mayor Megan Barry says. “Only in Nashville could you have A-list artists on hand and excited to help the city come together for great music while we cheer on our Nashville Predators. We can’t thank the fans enough for their enthusiasm and all the Metro agencies and community partners who will make these events possible.”

Country stars from Carrie Underwood to Keith Urban and more have taken turns singing the National Anthem at Predators home games during their winning streak recently, and some of country's biggest stars are among the fans who have been avidly following the games and turning out to show their support.
