Alabama junior running back Damien Harris and redshirt junior left guard Ross Pierschbacher were named Southeastern Conference Players of the Week, the league office announced on Monday morning. Harris was chosen on offense, while Pierschbacher was selected as the league’s top linemen for their performance in UA’s 59-0, shutout victory over Vanderbilt this past weekend.

Harris finished his day in Nashville setting new career-best marks in rushing yards (151) and touchdowns (3), all coming on only 12 carries. The junior averaged 12.6 yards per carry, as he led an Alabama rushing attack that compiled 496 rushing yards in the win.

Pierschbacher played a key role along the offensive front, opening up holes and picking up key blocks to help the Crimson Tide offense amass nearly 700 yards of total offense. The Tide was able to rack up 496 yards on the ground and 181 yards through the air in what would finish as the second-most offensive yards in a single game in Alabama history at 677. The Cedar Falls, Iowa, native did not allow a sack and played a penalty-free game in Saturday’s victory on his way to the league honors.
