We were sad to hear the news that Schlotzky's Deli in Tuscaloosa has closed its doors. The restaurant had a prime location off of 15th Street, and we don't want this great spot to be vacant long.

What restaurant do you think should take the place of Schlotzky's? Here are 5 suggestions.

Culver's is known for their butter burgers and frozen custard. They'd make a great addition to the Tuscaloosa restaurant scene.

I'm a huge fan of Saw's; they have some of the best barbeque and collard greens in this or any universe. They're currently located in Birmingham's Avondale district, so expanding to Tuscaloosa would feel like a second home.

Bottomless fries? Gourmet burgers? What's not to love?

T-town isn't too keen on anything related to Tennessee (the big orange sucks), but we'll make an exception for Nashville Hot Chicken. Birmingham has a Hattie B's, and we need one, too!

Out of all the restaurants on my list, this is the one I'd most like to see in Tuscaloosa. Tom + Chee serves up soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, but with a gourmet twist. A grilled cheese on a doughnut? Heck yeah!
